Vision
VISION STATEMENT
MATTHEW 5:13-16 and ISAIAH 40:3
To recognize, accept and submit to the total Lordship and Headship of the Lord Jesus Christ over this local Church, seeking His direction in all things, and not doing anything that is contrary to His Word.
The Bible is the only infallible constitution for all matters of faith and practice. 1 Corinthians 11:1-3
Highest Praise Worship Center will recognize the Lord Jesus Christ as the head and give Him His rightful place. To have a New Testament functioning Church in the fullest sense of that word. To develop, possess, recognize and receive the fivefold ascension-gift ministries in their offices; apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers, both within our body and also in visiting ministries. The titles are not names only but functional offices. Ephesians 4:9-1
To have a functioning team of Ministers and Administrators, fulfilling the role of and doing the work of governing and shepherding the flock of God in the local Church, not only in title but also function. To have a shepherding community where the flock of God, with the various age groupings, is being cared for and shepherded, spiritually, emotionally and physically. In other words, meeting the needs of the total person; spirit, soul and body. 1 Thessalonians 5:23
To have a “family based” Church that strengthens the family in a society where the family is under pressure and attack by Humanistic Philosophy, where people of all ages can find placement in a “Church Family” of God. To have a functioning Church where the members of the Body fulfill their function. The gifted ministries are given for this threefold purpose. “And He gave some apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the Body of Christ,” until we all come to the unity of the faith and unto the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4:9-19
To have a Church that fulfills the fivefold purpose of its existence as a royal priesthood unto the Lord. 1 Peter 2:5-9 That is:
Ministry to the Lord – personal, relational and corporate worship.
Ministry to the saints – building inter-personal relationships.
Ministry to the world – evangelism, both personal and public witnessing.
Ministry against satan and his kingdom – spiritual warfare and victory.
Ministry as guardian of the truth in “the faith” once and for all delivered to the saints.
To have a Church that seeks to fulfill the Great Commission as expressed in each of the four Gospels and the Book of Acts. That is:
The Gospel of Matthew – A discipling and teaching Church, teaching the words of Christ.
The Gospel of Mark – An evangelistic Church, preaching the Gospel of Christ.
The Gospel of Luke – A witnessing Church, being witnesses unto Christ.
The Gospel of John – A shepherding Church, feeding the flock of Christ.
This constitutes a balanced Church, fulfilling the Great Commission as in the four Gospels and Acts. It is a Church evangelizing, discipling, teaching, witnessing and shepherding. It is a Church In full action and function.
To have a “spiritual armory” for equipping and training leadership ministry and have satellite Churches locally, nationally, and globally, as the Lord directs. Spiritual Armory is the training of soldiers of the cross for spiritual warfare and the providing of spiritual weapons for spiritual warfare. Home and foreign missions will arise as a result of this training. To have a strong Christian education program meeting the spiritual, mental, moral, social and emotional needs of individuals and the family, building Godly character and citizenship. To see the Kingdom of God established in the hearts and lives of men and women who are under Christ’s total Lordship and Kingship. The citizens of the Kingdom will be committed, related, submitted and obedient citizens of the Kingdom, and will see the rule, reign, government and authority of God through Christ, demonstrated in the Church. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5.
